Josephine D. Pitre, 98, a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Luling, LA, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Luling, LA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Warren Pitre, Jr. (Patsy) and Joseph Pitre, Sr.; daughters, Peggy Friloux and Mary Ann Fremen; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Pitre, Sr.; parents, Marcel and Christina Dempster; brothers, Sam Dempster and Jack Dempster and sisters, Clarabell Rogers, Gail Mickles, Cecile Baudoin and Priscilla Rogers.
Josephine was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3750 of Luling, LA.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
