Joseph P. Orgeron, 81, a native of Lockport, LA and a resident of Mathews, LA., passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 7:45 PM in Raceland, LA.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, September 27, 2013 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Mathews, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Hilary Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Park Cemetery in Mathews, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Bailleaux Orgeron; sons Robert Orgeron, Danny Orgeron; daughters, Kathy Eschette and husband Nilton, Darlene Theriot and husband Marvin, Debbie Arceneaux and husband Carl; grandchildren Ashley Foret and husband Ben, Tanner Dufrene, Sr. and wife Stacy; great grandchildren Tanner Dufrene, Jr., Kayla Dufrene; brother Irvin "Coon" Orgeron; sisters Evelyn Adams, Rowena McQueen and dog, CoCo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Nora Thibodeaux Orgeron and sister, Doris Gass.
