Joseph Jay Lebouef, Sr.

Joseph Jay LeBouef, Sr., age 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2015. He was a native of Montegut and resident of Chauvin for the last 38 years. He was a member of Christ Baptist Church in Houma. Joseph was a Boat Captain, avid fisherman and gardener. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Joseph is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Carole Price LeBouef, sons, Jody LeBouef, Rodney LeBouef, Scott LeBouef, daughters, Rachel St. Amant, JoAnn West and husband Charles, Kristy Lebouef, sister, Joyce Stelly, grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Spencer, Skyler, great- grandchild, Lerin and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Agnes LeBouef, son, Joseph Jay LeBouef, Jr., brothers, Willard, Beau, Leroy, Levell and sisters, Gloria Shultis, Gennie L. Pellegrin and Lois Hebert. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home of Houma and again on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Christ Baptist Church of Houma. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Christ Baptist Church of Houma beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery located in Bourg. Falgout Funeral Home of Houma entrusted with arrangements.
