Joseph Tracy Cortez, 68, a native of Kraemer and resident of Des Allemands passed away on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Aucoin Cortez; daughters, Pamela Cortez Baker, Stacy Cortez Engel and husband Thomas Engel Jr.; grandchildren, Brandi Baker, Thomas Engel III, Tracy Engel; brothers, Paul Norris Cortez, Charles Thomas Cortez and sisters, Emma Lou Rome, Shirley Mae Landry and Laura Mae Cedotal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elvire Usea Cortez.
