Johnny Michael Lawrence, Jr., a native of New Orleans and resident of Lake Charles and Cut Off passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy M. Lawrence; mother, Linda P. Lawrence; children, Evan Michael (Alexis) Lawrence, Alysa Nichole Lawrence, and Megan Lawrence; grandchildren, Grayson Trahan, Noah Lawrence, Nevaeh Lawrence, Paityn, and Charli Brown; brothers, Kerry Lawrence, and Adam Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Michael Lawrence, Sr.
“Johnny enjoyed several things throughout his life: fishing, nascar races, playing guitar, or watching football while drinking a cold beer. He was most frequently seen wearing LSU attire but was also a Saints fan. However, his favorite part of life was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children. He was always there for them, whether he was helping them prepare for a job interview or just being there to listen and give the best advice possible. Despite being in and out of the hospital all year, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his children, made silly faces with his grandchildren, and even pulled some light-hearted pranks on the nurses. He had a great ability to make others smile. His sense of humor, along with many other things, will be missed.”
