She loved her Lord, Jesus, and was a member of Coteau Baptist Church. Johnnie loved her family dearly and was totally devoted to them. She developed many friendships at Terrebonne Bank where she retired as the Branch Manager at Bayou Dularge after 24 years. After her bank retirement, she went to work for the Salvation Army for 7 years, and another year and a half at Vincent Guard Service. She will be dearly missed by her friends at Coteau Baptist Church, St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Council on Aging, and her neighbors.
Johnnie was very giving and generous. She enjoyed fishing, especially her favorite, perch. She loved bingo and made many dear friends at the games. She will be remembered for her quick wit, always ready with a good joke. Her favorite pastime was riding her John Deere (Bambi), and cutting the grass. She enjoyed cooking, especially the centerpiece of our holiday meals, her cornbread dressing from a recipe handed down from her mother.
Johnnie leaves a gaping hole in the hearts of her family and her many dear friends. She will be sadly missed.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Matherne, the nurses and staff at TGMC, the nurses and staff at Chateau Terrebonne, her nurse, Jessie, and the staff at Bayou Home Care, and her nurse, Toni at H. L. Haydel Memorial Hospice.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
