John "Johnny" J. Moncada, 88, a native of New Orleans and resident of Lafayette, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be held at noon Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, John J. Moncada Jr.; daughter, Dianne M. Duet; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Moncada; and parents, Joseph Vincent Moncada and Ester Kramer Moncada.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
