John G. Foret, 52, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Plaisance Foret; sons, Steven Foret and wife, Tracy, and Blaine Foret; grandchildren, Mason and Ashton Foret; parents, Ivy and Shirley Waguespack Foret; brothers, Gary Foret and wife, Linda, Rodney Foret and wife, Amy, and Rudy Foret and wife, Karen; sister, Carolyn Dufrene and husband, Teddy; father and mother-in-law, Nessie and Alice Plaisance; and brother-in-law, Robert Plaisance.
John enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and farming. He was a member of Woodman of the World.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
