John Frank Darjean, Sr., 86, a native of Opelousas, LA and a resident of Golden Meadow, LA, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Larose, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Carl Daniel (Sherry), Raymond Daniel (Carolyn), John Frank Darjean Jr. (Paula) and Otis Darjean (Jawarnita); daughters, Connie Darjean and Arianna Darjean; son-in-law, Mark Hughes; brother, Roland Darjean; sisters, Earline Villery, Rosa Bell Caleb and Juanita Gaye. Also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Mae King; parents, Edwin and Rosa Bell Jordan Darjean, Edna Thibodaux Darjean; daughters, Denise Hughes and Katherine Isadore (Avalon);brothers, Paul Darjean, Edward Lee Darjean, Otis “O.J.” Darjean, Peter Floyd and sisters, Ruby Jordan, Rita Henney and Anna Bell Guidry.
