John "Pat" Authement Sr., 75, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday March 28, 2012.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Marcel Authement; four sons, John Authement Jr. and wife, Lena, Phillip Authement and wife, Rosalia, Kent Authement and wife, Shanna, and Raymond Authement and wife, Melody; daughters, Pamela Foret and husband, Eugene, and Julie Authement; brothers, Voorhies "V.J." Authement and Anthony Authement; sister, Juanita Poindexter; 17 grandchildren, Amanda Pellegrin, Melanie LeBoeuf, Naomi Denton, Zane, Megan, Hunter, Lillie, Shanna, Kayla, Jenna, Patrick, and Bryan Authement, Joshua, Jerryca, and Louis Faucheux, Kasey Darcey and Karah Cantrelle; and six great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyman and Euphemie Prejean Authement; and two sisters, Gloria Prestenbach and Anna Mae Leger.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. He was in the Navy Reserve. His occupation was television repair and he was the owner of Pat's T.V. Service.
