Joan Anne Bernard, 69, a native and resident of Larose, La lost her battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Large B-Cell at her home on Friday, July 5th, 2024 surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her son Emmet P Boudreaux, Jr. (Sherice) and her daughter Hiedi Lee. Grandchildren Emilie Lee (Jaron), Renee Lee, Sami Boudreaux, Cameron and Gavin Lee and Great-Grandchildren Audrey, Olivia, and Luke. Brothers Murphy Bernard (Dena) and Julius (Bubba) Bernard, Jr. (Carol). Stepsister Stacey Comeaux (Neal), stepbrothers Eddie Williams (Cassie) and Cliff Williams. Her godchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Irene Rogers Williams and Julius John Bernard, Sr., Stepfather Eddie “Pelee” Williams, Sr., Sister Betty Irene Ann Bernard, Brother Jody John Bernard Sr., Aunt Nancy Danos, and her God Son Albert Danos, Jr.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to GIS Grand Isle Shipyard, Mark Pregeant, and the entire staff. Dr. Khokhar and the nursing staff at Thibodaux Reginal Cancer Center. The doctors and staff at MD Anderson in Houston, TX, and St. Joseph Hospice for all the love and care they provided for Joan.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on July 15th, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10 with mass beginning at 11, burial to follow in the church cementary.
