Joan "Jo Ann" Barrilleaux Plaisance, 80, a native of Labadieville and resident of Raceland went to meet her heavenly father on Wednesday June 19, 2013.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Bryan "Shawee" Plaisance and wife Rhonda, Harold Plaisance and wife Betty; daughter, Wanda Acosta and husband Dale; sister, Annie B. Robichaux; grandchildren, Jason Acosta and wife Tisa, Tracy Janes and husband Allen, Tiffany Levron and husband Ronnie, Jessica Kraemer and husband Steven, Carrie Breaux and husband Miles, Brett Plaisance, Hope Huffman and husband Ian; great grandchildren, Jacob Janes, Brody Acosta, Brandt Acosta, Kaycee Guidry, Kyler Kraemer, Royce Janes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney "Poppa" Plaisance; parents, Leo and Marie Barrilleaux; brothers, Leo Barrilleaux, Jr., Arthur Barrilleaux, Jessie Barrilleaux; sisters, Marie B. Hernandez, Yvonne B. Rodriguez, Melanie B. Arcement.
In lieu of flowers, please make in kind donations to St. Mary's Nativity Church.
