Jesse Joseph Chiasson, 92, a native of Bayou Folse and a resident of Thibodaux, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by four sons, Richard, Adrian, Brett and Terry Chiasson; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Dufrene Chiasson; his parents, Louis Chiasson and Elvire Knight Chiasson; and one sister, Ethel Mae Chiasson Alongia.
He was a retired cattle farmer and a U.S. Army veteran, having received a Purple Heart during World War II.
