Jerry A. "Capt. Jay" Dantin, 81, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Grand Isle, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Anna Camardelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsey Lee Dantin Sr. and Allison Savoie Dantin.
Captain Jay enjoyed fishing, shrimping and crabbing.
