Jerome Henry Cantrelle, 82, a native of Cut Off and resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Jerome is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lola Kief Cantrelle; children, Lotty Cantrelle, Wade (Liz) Cantrelle, Heidi Krotzer and Simon (Shannon) Cantrelle; grandchildren, Kecera Rodrigue, Lance Rodrigue, Stetson (Natalie) Rodrigue, Sarah Krotzer and Blake Cantrelle; great – grandchild, Lucas Rodrigue; sisters Rowena (Wayne) Marcelle and Ethel Eymard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Cantrelle; mother, Sidonia Cantrelle; step-mother, Movelia Cantrelle; brother-in-law, Rodney Eymard.
Jerome retired from Kief Hardware. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid cattleman, hunter, and fisherman.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport on Friday, December 10th from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jean-Marie in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate towards the repairs of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
