Jeffrey S. Barton, 56, a native of Morocco, Africa, former resident of Orlando, Fla., and resident of Houma, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A prayer service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Barbara Haynes Barton; daughter, Jessica Lynn Barton, of Orlando, Fla.; mother, Betty Barton; brothers, John Barton Jr., Mike Barton and wife, Nancy, of California, Craig Barton, of Arizona, and Todd Barton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Barton Sr.
He was employed at Moody Price. He was a very caring, dependable, honest, hardworking man. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father. He would always lend a helping hand. He and his family shared a love for music, traveling, and sports, especially the Saints and the LSU Tigers.
He will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the family to assist with funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
