Jeanne Cheramie

A religious service will be held at Our Lady of The Rosary Catholic Church on Fr. July 13, 2012 in Larose for Jeanne Gisclair Cheramie, 93, she was a native of Gailliano and resident of Larose. She died at 5:25 pm. on Wed. July 11, 2012.

Visitation will be at Our Lady of The Rosary Catholic Church from 1 pm. to 3 pm. with funeral Mass following at the church . Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery in Gailliano. She was the oldest surviving member of the Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by one son, Norris Cheramie, daughter Kate Cheramie Brady married to Pat Brady, and sister Florence G. Cheramie. She is survived by eight grandchildren, Teddy Cheramie and wife Patty, Becky Cheramie, Tracy Cheramie, Tommy Cheramie and wife Anissa, Todd Brady and wife Janie, Troy Brady, Toby Brady and wife Stacy, Trent Brady and wife Dawn, 18 grandchildren Donny Charpentier, Drew Charpentier, Allyn Charpentier, Abby C. Bruce, Trever Cheramie, Travis Cheramie, Terance Cheramie, Jake Cheramie, Layne Cheramie, Aisha Brady, Alie Brady, Sarah Brady, Beau Brady, Amber Brady, Brett Brady, Tomey Ray Brady, James Brady, Brenna Brady, and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Volcar "Roue" Cheramie, son Charley Cheramie, parents Nazia Charpentier and Lazard Gisclair, brother Mack Gisclair, Peggy Gisclair, great grandchildren Ashley Brady, daughter-in-law Lois Plaisance and Betty Mayet.
