Janice Clara Hogan Dufrene, 91, a native of Comardelle Village, LA and lifelong resident of Bayou Gauche, LA.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Life Fellowship Church in Bayou Gauche, LA. Services at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery, Bayou Gauche, LA.
She is survived by her children, Mary Provost, Shirley Comardelle, Juanita Dufrene, Keith Dufrene (Donna), Barnabus Dufrene (Melissa), Darwyn Dufrene, (Lyn) and Tiphanie Giroir (John); grandchildren, Jason Provost (Erin), Shelly Rinker (Jason), Nicholas Provost (Elizabeth), Kenton Comardelle (Donna), Jerralyn Manuel (Livingston), Anthony Comardelle (Tammy), Jean Domengeaux III (Renee), Brandon Dufrene (Stacy), Blake Dufrene (Chloe), Dillon Dufrene (Claire), Anne-Marie Dufrene, Jesse Dufrene (Heaven), Shaina Dufrene, Kristin Tabb (Michael), Candace Ariza (Francisco), Kassy Vasquez (William) and David Gunn; 35 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Dufrene; son, Philip Davis Dufrene; parents, Joseph Hogan and Florentine Frickey Hogan; sons-in-law, Robert Provost and Errol Comardelle; great grandchild, Ian Michael Dufrene; great-great grandchild, Christan David Populis, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Andrew Hogan, Albert Hogan, Clarence Hogan, Landry Hogan, Lena Dufrene, Ella Dufrene, Admiral Hogan and Jerry Hogan.
Clara enjoyed sewing, quilting, and needle work. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was an active member of her church and loved listening to gospel music. She will be greatly missed.
