Janet Mary Richard

Janet Mary Richard, 73, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was a native and resident of Lockport, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport on Friday, April 26, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in church cemetery.

Janet is survived by her sons, Sonny (Sheila) Cheramie, and Johnny (Rhonda) Cheramie; daughter, Goldie (Bruce) Pitre; brothers, Joey Burkhardt, Jerry (Laurie) Autin, and Donald “Don Rich” Richard; sister, Diane Richard; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Golen J. Richard and Joyce Cheramie Melancon; son, Jimmy J. Cheramie; daughter, Lisa A. Cheramie; and brother, Patrick P. Autin.
