Janelle Terrebonne Slocum

Janelle Terrebonne Slocum, 69, a native of Leeville, La. and resident of Cut Off, La. passed away on April 4, 2024. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 from 3pm until the start of the service at 5pm at First Baptist Church of Golden Meadow located at 187 Oak Ridge Drive in Golden Meadow, La.
Janelle is survived by her husband of 50 years, John W. Slocum, Jr.; sons, John. W Slocum III (Christina) and James Slocum (Heather); grandchildren, Kaven, Taylor, Rachel, Wren, Cody, James Jr., and Elizabeth; and great-grandson, Jeremiah Slocum.
Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elsie Callais Terrebonne; and brothers, George Terrebonne Jr., and Randy Terrebonne.
Janelle was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Golden Meadow. She worked as a baker for many years and owned Le Petit Gato, later working in Wal-Mart’s bakery.
