Jane Orgeron Savoie, 93, a native of Cut Off and a resident of Larose, died at 3:36 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 12 p.m. on Monday at Holy Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Burial will follow in The church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Savoie and wife Beverly, Bobby Savoie and wife Joyce, Russell Savoie and wife Emmalee, Jackie Savoie and wife Ronell, Jerry Savoie and wife Joan; daughter, Bea Savoie Dantin and husband Nelson "Smokey"; son-in-law, Daniel Defelice; brothers, Raymond :Blue" Orgeron, Whitney "T--Whit" Orgeron; 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysse Savoie; parents, Sylvest and Mathilde Danos Orgeron; daughters, Elois Hebert and husband Weisney "Red", and Katie Defelice; brother, Anthony "Tony" Orgeron; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Mable Orgeron Savoie, and Eucharist Orgeron.
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Ladies Altar Society.
