Jane “Jeanie” P. Ogea, 76, a native of Luling, Louisiana and resident of Magnolia, Mississippi passed away on January 18th, 2025.
Mrs. Jane is survived by her children: Derek “Buhdda” Ogea (Amanda) and Dawn Ogea (Chris); daughter in law: Ingrid Ogea; grandchildren: Katrina, B.J., Nicholas, Alexander, Miranda, Jason, Blake (Camille), Amber (Kaius); great grandchildren: Hazel and Everly; sisters: Marilyn P. Farrell, Carolyn P. Andrews, Helen P. Johnson, Hope P. Zeller; and canine companions: Gabby, Maggie, Rain, and Missy.
Mrs. Ogea was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Ray Ogea; sons: Johnny Ogea Jr. and Darren “Deno” Ogea; parents: Thomas J. Pitre Jr. and Florence T. Pitre; and siblings: Johnny J. Pitre, Thomas J. Pitre III, Dick J. Pitre and Joyce P. Horn.
Jeanie was a self-taught, feisty, and strong independent woman who was dedicated to her work and family. She was a true renaissance woman having many hobbies and talents. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and dogs and playing pokeno with her sisters and nieces.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Mennonite Church in Des Allemands, Louisiana on February 1st, 2025 from 1:00 pm until service time. A Celebration of Mrs. Jane's Life will begin at 3:00 pm with cremation following.
