James "Melvin" O'Gwynn, 78, a native of Poplarville, Mississippi and resident of Gheens, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday, Sept. 24 at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.He is survived by his wife, Nell Dominique O'Gwynn; sons, Mark O'Gwynn and wife, Rae, Brad O'Gwynn and wife, Gail, Michael O'Gwynn Sr. and wife, Penny, Carl O'Gwynn and wife, Melanie; brother, William David O'Gwynn and wife, Jackie; sisters, Audrey Sellers and husband, Buddy, and Carolyn Anderson; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Geneva A.
