James Joseph Ledet, 69, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his son, Tony Ledet; daughters, Sheila Benoit and companion, Sammy Naquin, and Lisa Ledet and companion, Bubba Gill; brothers, Norris and wife, Barbara, of Bayou Blue, Raynaud "Polooka" and wife, Geraldine, of Gray, and Leroy "Yert" and wife, Thelma Ledet, of Houma, sisters, Aline Ledet, of Houma, and Earline Bergeron, of Gibson; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Bergeron Ledet; son, Troy Ledet; parents, Israel and Olinda Deroche Ledet; brothers, Raymond "B.B.", Paul "Bafoe" and Leonce "Neg" Ledet; and sister, Mary Ledet.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
