Jacqueline Milligan Cromwell

March 14, 1936 — March 25, 2021

Jackie Milligan Cromwell, 85, a resident of Gretna, Louisiana, long time resident of Raceland, Louisiana, and native of Winfield, Tennessee, left this worldly life on March 25, 2021 at her home in Gretna surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Les Cromwell; sons, Jarvis “Gator” Guidry, Roger Guidry, and Jerry Guidry; daughter, Debi Guidry Caballero; sisters, Tippy Brossette, Angelle Woodward, and Brenda Templet; brother, Wayne Thibodaux; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her late husbands, Louis J. Perkins and Gerald A. Guidry and son Anthony J. Guidry; brothers, Roger Milligan, Henry “Joe” Milligan and Jimmy Milligan; sister, Jean Milligan Zanos; parents Herman Milligan and Esther Chitwood Thibodeaux.
She was a member of the Raceland American Legion Auxiliary Unit 349 for 51 years and was a Life Member. She served as Unit President for decades, Department Auxiliary Sargent at Arms, Third District President, Chairman of the third district hardship fund, coordinator for the homeless veterans at the VA Hospital in New Orleans and VAVS Chairman. She was also recognized as the volunteer of the Year by the Veteran’s Administration.
Her life in service and selflessness will be greatly missed by all.
Due to the importance of social distancing during the current COVIT-19 global pandemic, services will be delayed until people can assemble safely.
