Irene Dorothy Thibodaux

Irene Dorothy Smith Thibodaux, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 9:30 am in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.

Irene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Calvin P. Thibodaux; son, Kevin Thibodaux; daughter, Leisa T. Gautreaux (Gillis); sisters, Carol (Curtis) Robin, Beverly (Joel) Authement, Lois (Howard) Mora; brothers, Donald Smith (Helena), Marvin Smith (Diane), Rodney Smith (Liz), Dale Smith (Bunice), Rayford Smith (Roxanne); 3 grandchildren, Trisha, Janeé, Garrett, one great grandchild on the way as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Smith, Alzier Boutte Smith; stepmother, Mary Smith; brothers, Harvey and Curtis Smith and sister, Anna Mae Chaisson.

Irene is a native of Coteau Holmes. She spent her childhood in Bayou Chene and was a resident of Larose, LA for over 60 years.
She enjoyed sewing, dancing, playing numerous games, cooking, talking, spending time with her family.
She was of Christian faith and enjoyed reading her bible and bible studies.
She will be greatly missed.
