Irene Chiasson Pierce, 93, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 12 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Audrey Pierce; grandchildren, Darrel Pierce and companion Rachel Eschete, Dean Pierce and wife Debbie, Donna Lynn Vega and husband Ricardo, Danielle Rogers and husband Johnny Rogers, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Natasha, Sean, Beau, Cassidy, Dalton, and Lainey; four great-great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jacob, Lexi, and Mason; sisters, Frances Bourg, Arnic Sevin; brothers, Herman Chiasson, and Arnold Chiasson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vories Pierce; parents, Serville and Augustine Dufrene Chiasson; son, Donald Pierce; and sisters, Essie Robichaux, Eula Cheramie, and Anna Mae Vinet.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
