Inez Soley Matherne

Inez S. Matherne, 82, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, LA, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery, Galliano, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Billiot (Patty) and Joseph Billiot (Penny); daughters, Faye Menser (Curtis), Hope Parmer (David) and Charity Callais (Clint); step daughters, Donna Reyer (Kevin), Elizabeth Matherne and Rachel Patton (Benji); sisters, Rosie Verdin and Anna Mae Demet; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Matherne; parents, Leanis and Odelia C. Soley; brothers, Harry Soley, Linton Soley Sr. and Vinus Soley and sisters, Pearl Miller, Antoinette Soley and Rose Jane Soley.
Inez was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt. She was loved by everyone who met her. She loved plants of all kinds, quilting and embroidering.
