Hubert Joseph Chiasson, 82, a native of Lockport and resident of Houma, was entrusted to God's loving care on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 in Houma.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Chiasson and wife, Patricia David Chiasson; daughter, Frances Orgeron and husband, Allen "Pookie"; two sisters, Inez Bourg and Betty Falgout; four grandchildren, Allison Comeaux, Jaime Orgeron, Sarah Faller and Lauren Chiasson; and four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Faller, Grace Faller, Anna Faller and Charles Faller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Henry Chiasson; his parents, Edgar J. Chiasson Sr. and Jeanne Ledet Chiasson; and two brothers, Edgar Chiasson Jr. and Hampton Ledet
He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the 40 and 8 Veterans Association. Hubert was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having participated in the Berlin Airlift.
The family would like to express their grateful appreciation for the professional care from Fresenius Dialysis of Houma, Dr. Russell Henry and staff, and the staff of the Terrebonne House.
