Horace A. "Tee" Pierce, 86, a native and resident of Larose, died at 5:37 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eve H. Pierce; two sons, Irvin A. Pierce and wife, Deloria, and Johnny A. Pierce and wife, Rose; two daughters, Diana P. Lee and husband, Louis Jr., and Debra P. Cheramie and husband, Wilton "Tony"; two brothers, Calvin and Nolan Pierce; two sisters, Verna Gros and Rena Gautreaux; and nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Adele Belanger Pierce; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Clara Delatte Hebert; one daughter, Annie Ella Pierce; three brothers, E.J., Harry, and Larry Pierce; one sister, Dorothy Price; one great-grandchild, Brodie Falgout; and one step-great-grandchild, Kendall Cheramie.
He was a member of VFW and American Legion.
