Holden John Plaisance, 64 years old, was born Feb 27, 1951, and peacefully passed away on Feb 13, 2016. He was a resident and native of Raceland, LA.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland on Monday, Feb 15th from 5 - 9pm and will resume Tuesday, Feb 16th from 9 - 11am. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11am with burial to follow at St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Tracy John Plaisance and wife Allison and Cary John Plaisance and wife Joy; daughters, Jaime Plaisance Boudreaux and husband Jamie and Tessie Plaisance Cantrelle and husband Earl; brother, James Anthony Plaisance and wife Jill; sisters, Gwendolyn Plaisance Taylor and husband John and Joy Plaisance Carson and husband Timmy; grandchildren, Cade Plaisance, Cari Plaisance, Caleb Plaisance, Joel Plaisance, Alyssa Plaisance, Andrew Boudreaux, Madison Boudreaux, Zacary Plaisance, Karli Cantrelle, Lucas Cantrelle, Briana Crane and Braya Crane.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Lee Plaisance; parents, Edison and Irma Cologne Plaisance; stepson, Robert "Bobby" Crane Jr.
He was a U.S. Army Specialist and served honorably before retiring from McDermott. After retiring, he spent the last 5 years running a cattle farm with his father, Edison, and brother, James. He loved his camp, farm, old westerns, and weekly 'family night' with his children and grandchildren. He will be loved and missed. We love you "Pop".
