Herman "Man" Martin, 84, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Cut Off, died June 1, 2014.
Visitation will be held from 11 AM until service time on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday at the church with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred "Noon" Cheramie Martin; son, John Joseph Martin; daughters, Katherine Walker and Mandy Williford and husband Robert; brothers, Theodore Martin Jr. and Terry Martin; sister, Judy Martin Sanders; 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Martin Sr. and Venecia Hodge Martin; son-in laws, Jerry Walker and Bobby Lee; brother, Natilas "Polute" Martin; sister, Hazel Martin; and granddaughter-in-law, Lori Gramer Lee.
