Herbert Anthony Gros

Herbert Anthony “T-Pop” Gros, 86, a native and resident of Lockport passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Visitation will be held at Holy Savior Little Church on Tuesday, December 5th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Herbert is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Clara Mae Ledet Gros; daughters, Ann Brunet, Lisa Boudreaux (Chad), Roxanne Richoux (Russell); son, Ray Gros; granddaughters, Erin Richoux (Robert), Ericka Duhon (Jon), Meagan Boudreaux, Jardie Fitch; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Johanna, and Jacoby.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Leah B. Gros; in-laws, Odesson and Emelda M. Ledet; brothers, Emile Gros, Sr., and Roy Gros, Sr.; sister, Earline Richoux; son-in-law, Michael Brunet; great-great-nephew, Riley John Bourgeois.

Thanks to Ochsners Home Healthcare and The Heart of Hospice for their compassion, grace, mercy, and care during Herbert’s final, unforgettable and memorable time with us.

T-Pop will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family and friends. To know him was to love him.
