Herbert P. Champagne

Herbert P. Champagne, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Herbert is survived by his son, Randal Champagne (Sue); daughters, Susan Knight (Gary), Patty Gaudet (Monty); Becky Christen (Bryan); grandchildren, Gary Knight Jr. (Jennifer), Maegan Davis (Corey), Daniel Christen Jr. (Kasey), Hunter Gaudet (Ambor), Terry Attaway; great-grandchildren, Gracie Knight, Abby Knight, Avery Davis, Mason Davis, Mark Christen; great-great-grandchildren, Eli and Bradley Knight; brothers, Franklin, Hubert and Gerald Champagne.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Saucier Champagne; second wife, Yvonne Champagne; daughter, Melissa Attaway; parents, Eugene and Pearlie Theriot Champagne; brothers, Clarence and Cleveland Champagne; sisters, Mary Soudelier and Debra Fields and granddaughter, Jessica Knight.
