Henry “Jr. Boy” P. Vega, 81, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on November 29, 2018.
Visitation will take place at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Monday December 3, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off from 8:30 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church cemetery.
Mr. Henry is survived by the mother of his children: Linda L. Vega; children: Louise Vega (Willie) and Elizabeth Vega; son-in-law: John “Beaver” Griffin Sr. (Barbara LeBouef); grandchildren: Linda Carcisse (Travis), Lana LaBauve (Randy Jr.), Natasha Vega Gilmore (Greg), David Lirette Jr. (Allyssa), and John Paul Griffin Jr. (Kimberly); greatgrandchildren: Katelynn Davis, Serenity Wiggins, Colby, Chole, Bohdi, and Finley LaBauve, Alaya Gilmore, Daimen and Draeden Lirette, and Arcly Griffin.
Mr. Vega was preceded in death by his parents; Henry J. and Louise T. Vega; and two sisters.
He was a member and former Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #3150, President of Alcohol Anonymous of Southeast Region, a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Cut Off, and an avid trumpet player for many years.
