Henry "Junior" Perez Jr., age 79, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home and from 9 AM until service time on Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at the church with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mercedes "Ann" Duplantis Perez; son, Kurt Perez Sr.; daughter, Juliet Perez Callais and husband Eddie; brother, Eldon Lafont Sr.; 4 grandchildren, Denise and Jessica Duet, Kurt "T-Kurt" Perez Jr., and Joboa Verdin; 6 great-grandchildren, Noah and Ryan Laird, Braden and Brianna Perez, and Savyn and Praislyn Verdin; and 4 godchildren, Jackie Boudoin, Perry Lafont, Roy McCall, and Donald Gaspard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Lafont, Eliska Callais, Lucille Callais Perez, and Henry Perez Sr.; brother, Dudley Perez Sr.; sisters, Vesta Gaspard and Juelliet Perez.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
