Helen Rose Guidry Rodrigue, 74, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by four sons, Brian Rodrigue and wife, Mary Beth, of Raceland, Kevin Rodrigue and wife, Connie, of Chackbay, Wayne Rodrigue and companion, Roxanne Cheramie, of Raceland and Craig Rodrigue of Houma; two daughters, Carol Falgoust and husband, Milton, of Raceland and Linda Kraemer of Chackbay; one brother, Enis Guidry; two sisters, Geraldine G. Adams and June G. Detillier; eight grandchildren, Brian Rodrigue Jr., Ryan Rodrigue, Lacey R. Gill, Nick Rodrigue, Jacob Boudreaux, Nicole Falgoust, Lindsay Kraemer and Dustin Kraemer; three step-grandchildren, Kristie Gonzales, Laurie Talbot and Joshua Daigle; and four great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter C. Rodrigue; and her parents, Sam Guidry and Enola Uzee Guidry.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, who loved to cook for Sunday gatherings. She was a retired nurse of 26 years at St. Anne Hospital. She loved her orchids and her dog Paco.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
