Services will be private per Helens wishes.
She is survived by her children, Walter Hendrix, Jr. (Kyra), Wayne Hendrix, Wendy Hendrix, Bobby Hendrix, Billie Jones and Bruce Hendrix; brother, Lionel Lagarde; sisters, Marion Claudel, June Hermann, Dora Topham, Nora Orgeron and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hendrix, Sr.; son, Wade Hendrix; parents, J.T. “Pete” Lagarde and Juliette Lagarde and brothers, Roland and Ralph Lagarde.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
