Hazel Matherne

Hazel Falgout Matherne, 91, a native and resident of Larose, La., died on Saturday, March 6, 2021, in Tennessee.

A visitation will be held at on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Procession will follow to her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose beginning at 12 noon with her burial following in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Allan Mark Matherne and wife, Barbara Rodriguez Matherne; 3 granddaughters; Tanya Matherne Matcek and husband Randal, Jaime Matherne Riley and husband Jim, Brandy Matherne Bouffanie and husband Hillary; 8 great grandchildren; Cooper and Taylor Matcek, Kendall, Avery and Nathan Riley, Brady, Blake and Piper Bouffanie; Sisters, Cheryl Falgout and brother, Wiley Falgout.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark J. Matherne, Jr.; mother, Victoria Melancon; father, Wilkin Falgout, brothers, Lloyd Falgout, Floyd Falgout and Roland Falgout and sisters, Genevieve Melancon, Shirley Garibaldi,and Jane Adams.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, La.
