Hazel Bourgeois Darby

September 29, 1928 — January 10, 2019

Hazel Bourgeois Darby, 90, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 10, 2019.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Houma, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday with burial to follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is survived by her sister, Doris B. Rodriguez Donaldson; nieces, nephews and stepchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lacy Boone Darby; mother, Hattie Mary Daigle; father, Oliver Raymond Bourgeois; brother, Wilson J. Bourgeois (Mary Legnon) and sister, Mary L. Bourgeois.

A warm thanks to her wonderful caregivers who aided her in her desire to remain at home through her final journey.
