Harris “Butch” LeBlanc, Jr., 81, a native of Raceland and a resident of Mathews, passed away with his beloved family at his side on Thursday, August 5, 2021. He was born on April 2, 1940.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Yvonne Benoit LeBlanc; daughters, Roxanne L. Boudreaux (Ernest), Penny L. O’Gwynn (Michael Sr.); son, Dane LeBlanc (Michelle); brothers, Allen LeBlanc Sr. (Linda), Craig LeBlanc (Rebecca), Gayle LeBlanc (Kathleen); sisters, Sandra Bonvillain (Leroy) and Sherry Dies (Ray); 5 grandchildren, Jacob Dufrene, Elizabeth Daigle, Michael O’Gwynn, Jr., Chelsea LeBlanc and Michelle Bourgeois; 13 great grandchildren, Cade, Jaeton, Hayden, Weston, Drake, Gage, Jacee, Jaylee, Cole, Trysten, Luke, Amelia and Eli.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harris “Rags” LeBlanc, Sr. and Dorothy Griffin LeBlanc.
Harris worked at South Coast Sugars for many years, and later he became to co-owner of H & D Farms with his one son, Dane LeBlanc.
