Guy John "Maytag" Mataya

Guy "Maytag" John Mataya, 66 a native of Gretna and a resident of Lockport, left this earth on May 3, 2020.
A private graveside burial will be held.
He leaves behind a wife, Diane Guidry Mataya, of 45 years, and a daughter, Jennifer Mataya. He also leaves behind siblings Irma Furlan and Gregory Mataya, as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, Alfred Mataya Jr. and Frances Felio Mataya, siblings Alfred Mataya III and Janet Mataya, and nephews Alfred Mataya and Cory Mataya. As well as his in-laws Dave and Gertrude Guidry.
Guy proudly served his country in the USMC, loved fishing, and the LSU Tigers.
