Gustassa “Chock” K. Verdin, 85, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Valentine, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 12th in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Larose at 10:30 am.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Lee Sr. (Christine), Richard Lee (Angelina), Charlie Verdin; daughters, Geraldine Lee, Ruby Lee, Rose L. Adams, JoAnn Allemand (Richard), Cecile LeBoeuf (Clark), Joni Gisclair; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Kiger Sr.; sisters, Juanita Ungar, Mary Billiot, Irma Dardar, Sally Cheramie; daughters-in-law, Lisa Lee, Sabrina Lee and Angella Lee and son-in-law, and John Mobley Sr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Lucy Kiger; husbands, 1st Francis J. Lee Sr. and 2nd Joseph Verdin; sons, Francis Lee Jr (Barbara), Julius Lee, Ludovic Lee, Daniel Lee Sr.; daughter, Lena Mobley; brother, Roy Kiger Sr.; sisters, Bernice Naquin, Janice Billiot and Annie Kiger and son-in-law, Bradford Adams Sr.; daughter-in-law, Darnelle Duca.
