Grace Cunningham Robichaux, March 13, 1936 - April 6, 2022.
Grace took her last breath after 86 yrs. of life in this world on April 6, 2022 where she was together with family and passed quietly into everlasting peace with God. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Anthony Catholic Church Bayou Black on April 19, 2022 at 11 AM with Burial to follow at Saint Francis Cemetery II.
She was born into a large family of 12 siblings from Houma, La. As a young woman she met the love of her life, Junius (Roby) Robichaux, who became her husband of 51 years and together they created a home and raised a family. People who knew her would say “Grace has never met a stranger”. That love and kindness towards people led her on a path of accomplishment of a livelihood as a business professional, during a period of time when a woman owning and running a business was almost unheard of. She loved having family and friends at her home to share in wonderful meals, good times and lively conversation. Her favorite past time was gardening in her yard, tending to and admiring all of the beautiful flowers of God’s nature.
Grace was a proud mother of five children, Jaime Robichaux (Peggy), Angela Robichaux Theriot, Brian Robichaux, Paula Robichaux Guilbeau, Lee. Robichaux (Libby). She was grandmother to 9 beloved grandchildren: Renee, Jake, Monica, Ross, Sarah, Amanda, Shelby, Alex, Jean Paul and great grandchildren of four: Olivia, Luke, Landon, and Margo. She is survived by one sister Linda C. Duplantis.
She was preceded in death by husband Junius, son Brian, granddaughter Monica, parents Armond and Amy, brothers Julius, Sonny, Roy , Louis, Phillip, Kenneth, Tony, Clay, sisters Janell C Boudreaux, & Barbara C Lovell.
