Gloria Rousseau Matherne, 78, a native of Des Allemands and a resident of Raceland, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Claude Matherne Sr.; son, Claude "C.J." Matherne Jr.; daughters, Linda Matherne, Susan Griffin, Christine Matherne, Cheryl Matherne; brother, Douglas Rousseau; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; in-laws and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Josephine Rousseau; brother, Dudley Rousseau and sister, Marie Luquette.
Gloria loved baking, crocheting and taking care of her knight in shining armor.
Falgout Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
