Gloria Cecelia Lafont Eymard, 91 years of age, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Cut Off, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday, February 19, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Kirk) Ougel and Geraldine (Marvin) Vining and son, Paul Eymard; grandchildren, Tony Vining (Hatty), Marty Vining (Sommers), Gizelle Vining, Lisa Richoux (Mike), Ross Fullilove (Marci), Wade Fullilove (Brandi), Ashley Agoff (Landry), Lindsey White (Shawn); step grandchild, Reggie Ougel (Martha); great grandchildren, Justin, Roland, Rayelle, and Rhex Vining, Leah Parmley, Marley (Tyler Harris), Zoey, Levi and Taylan Vining, Madison and Myles Williams, Jayden and Sabryn Richoux, Jacey and Brady Fullilove, Launnah, Leightyn, Lawsyn and Lowyn Fullilove, Emma and Brayden White; step grandchildren, Lyndsie Richoux (Dylan) and Alli Ougel; step great grandchildren, Coy and Penelopie Delatte and Graham Pennington, Gage, Landry and Hunter Agoff.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roland Eymard; daughter, Robin Eymard; parents, Hubert Sr. and Marie Lafont; brothers, Duffy, Ines and Hubert Lafont Jr.; sisters, Isabella Vizier and Ruby LeBlanc.
Gloria loved gardening, art work, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted member of the Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed her Bible study group and weekly group rosary get togethers for many years with her treasured friends.
