Gloria Pinel Bouziga, 91, a native of Bourg and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Saturday, January 2nd at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Norbert Bouzigar, Jr., James Bouziga (Connie) and Joey Bouziga (Evelyn); brother, Harry Pinel; sisters, Marie Lasseigne, Earline Knobloch; daughter-in-law, Tina Bouziga; sister-in-law, June Pinel; grandchildren, Gloria, Brent, Paulette, Lee, Norbert, III, Laci and Travis; 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Norbert Bouziga, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Stevia Pinel;
son, Russell Bouziga; brothers, Steve Pinel and Lawrence Pinel; sisters, Louise Sassoni, Diane Menser, Emma
Thibodaux and Lye Pierce; daughter-in-law, Elise Bouzigar.
Special thanks to her caregivers, Carolyn Falgout, Angie Ellender, Brigette Billiot, Peggy Cheramie and
Theresa Cheramie, also special thanks to Notre Dame Hospice, Brittney, Temera and Dawn.
