Gladys Hartman Bourgeois, 84, a native of New Orleans and resident of Raceland, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Lockport.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by five sons, Ronald J. Bourgeois and wife, Gwyn, Rodney J. Bourgeois and wife, Connie, Phillip G. Bourgeois, James "Jim" Bourgeois and wife, Diane, and Deacon Brent P. Bourgeois and wife, Anita; brother, Alcide "Brother" Hartman Jr.; two sisters, Mae Duet and Nell Gaudet; and 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman J. Bourgeois; her parents, Alcide Hartman and Alida Barbier Hartman; two brothers, Albert Hartman and Hughie Hartman; and four sisters, Anne David, Fannie Orgeron, Elsie Hartman and Leola Breaux.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church, The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Raceland Senior Citizens Club.
