Gilbert A. Plaisance, 87, a native of Gheens and a resident of Raceland, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, John Plaisance (Erica); daughters, Teresa Havens (Eddie), Jane Garcia (Manuel) and Christine Lamb (Troy); sister, Velma Arabie; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Chiasson Plaisance; parents, Alex and Emilie Plaisance; brothers, Lenese, Levi and Tony Plaisance and sisters, Earline Orgeron, Mazy Orgeron, Hazel Matherne, Vesta Badeaux, Clemence Plaisance, Edna Dufrene, Edith Plaisance, Lorina Dufrene, Estha Rodrigue and Elsie Matherne.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
