Gilbert A. Gautreaux Sr., 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Lockport.Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.He is survived by his children, Camile Gautreaux and wife, Stella, Lauralee G. Snyder and husband, Lee, Peggy G. Terrebonne and husband, Greg Sr., Yvette G. Cutrer and husband, Ronnie, Mary G. Curole and husband, Ralph, Renella G. Chouest and husband, Chris, Chip Gautreaux, and Nicole "Nikki" G. Terrebonne and husband, Dwayne.; grandchildren, Robbie Gautreaux and wife, Angela, Trevor Gautreaux and wife, Vanessa, Evan Gautreaux and wife, Danielle, Rachel W. McCurdy and husband, Garrett, Leslie T. Smith and husband, Brandon, Greg Terrebonne Jr. and wife, Allison, Morgan and Bobby Cutrer, Kris C. Hymel and husband, Chris, Benjamin Curole and wife, Karen, Matthew and Michael Chouest, Janie, Jada, and Jacey Gautreaux and their mother, Marsha, and Tyler and Conner Terrebonne; great-grandchildren, Isabella Gautreaux, Corey Noel Gautreaux, Porter Gautreaux, Laura Jean McCurdy, Mason McCurdy, and Caroline, Cooper, and Emma Hymel; and brothers, Alvin and Russell Gautreaux.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Gros Gautreaux; an infant son; grandson, Corey Michael Gautreaux; parents, Noah and Leonise Plaisance Gautreaux; brother, Ernest Gautreaux; and sisters, Helen Robinson and Elda Cheramie Champagne.He was a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus. He was the founder of Southern Guard Service, Inc.
